Case Study:
When City Girl Media — a New York City-based public relations firm — approached Grinning Moon to create their new company branding, they had something very specific in mind. Big fans of the renowned artist Michael Schwab, City Girl was looking for branding that reflected this style. Since the Schwab style accurately reflects the image City Girl Media wants to portray, Grinning Moon was happy to oblige! The new City Girl Media logo uses this style to focus on what the firm does: Public Relations. Wanting to also focus on where that work is conducted, the banner on the new website displays six custom illustrations of prominent American skyscrapers, created by Grinning Moon in the style of Michael Schwab. All of the new City Girl Media designs, including the letterhead and business cards, work to convey the style of this public relations firm: Sophisticated, Cosmopolitan, All-American and No-Nonsense. But Grinning Moon Creative’s designs don’t just look good, the new website is fully editable and customizable by the client with unlimited webpages, thanks to the website’s Content Management System. Seacoast Family Therapy is a new company offering psychotherapy to the New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts seacoasts. As a new business, Seacoast Family Therapy needed a company brand established and marketing tools created to inform the public about its services. Grinning Moon helped the company create a marketing plan to start promoting itself. The design process began with the creation of a logo that embodies the company philosophy and approach to therapy. After the design of the logo, Grinning Moon created business cards, a website and promotional rack cards to share information about the company’s services. With a basic print and web presence established, Seacoast Family Therapy has begun to grow and establish itself. The company has plans to expand its website content and add additional marketing materials as the business continues to grow.

Content Management System-Driven Website with Three Channels, Forum, Photo Galleries, Video, Login System and Filterable Calendar

Case Study :
The New Hampshire Academy of Performing Arts (NHAPA) provides dance instruction to over 300 students in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and is the home of the Seacoast Civic Dance Company. With so much activity, they have a lot of information to distribute: class schedules for 3 studios, performance & rehearsal information, workshops & summer camps to run. NHAPA needed a website to help them keep all their students, parents, performers and audience members informed. Not only does their new website’s content management system manage all this, it is also a repository for NHAPA’s 50-year history of dance instruction excellence. The new site features separate web channels for the school and performance company, a sortable dynamic calendar of events, photo galleries and video of performances, the NHAPA historical timeline, a multi-level user forum and expandable faculty roster, all of which NHAPA can control in real-time, using Grinning Moon Creative’s intuitive, customized administrative system.

Case Study :
When Lifestyle Prosthetics & Orthotics first contacted Grinning Moon Creative, the business was a year and a half old and growing swiftly. The company was branded when it was started, but it turned out that the original brand and marketing materials didn’t send quite the right message. Lifestyle wanted to emphasize the comfort of their custom-fitted products and the great customer service that they offer for finding the right match for each client. After discussing the correct market positioning, Grinning Moon Creative designed a new logo for Lifestyle that emodies their new slogan “The Freedom of Comfort”. The logo design was followed by the creation of a six piece stationery design and an assortment of marketing materials for use in communicating with potential clientele. The highlight of the new marketing tools is the Lifestyle website. This website is driven by a content management system that allows Lifestyle’s employees to easily update web content and build new pages themselves without knowledge of web coding.

LaBelle Winery produces fruit wines made from New Hampshire grown fruit. A woman owned business, LaBelle was in need of branding and marketing designs that reflected its feminine ownership as well as the unique products that the winery produces. Grinning Moon Creative designed the winery brand, package design and marketing pieces that launched this new business. Grinning Moon is now in its third year of working with LaBelle Winery and is proud to be a part of this company’s success story. LaBelle’s list of wines is expanding every year and Grinning Moon Creative has designed a series of labels that compliment the range of bottle shapes and sizes for the variety of wines. As the company grows, Grinning Moon has created an increased assortment of marketing materials to support the winery’s new needs. LaBelle Winery is rapidly growing and its wines can now be found at stores across New Hampshire.

Logo Redesign, Package Design for Two Lines of Nutrition Bars

Case Study:
Omega Smart® Nutrition Bars are sold in the competitive market of health food bars. Grinning Moon Creative was hired to design a new logo and product packaging in order to help these bars stand out in health food stores and other locations where they are sold. Grinning Moon designed both product lines for Omega Smart® bars, including all nine flavors in the Original line of bars and the three flavors of the Youth In A Bar product line. All Omega Smart® bars are entirely natural and contain a high amount of omega-3 fatty acids to create a very healthy food product. The logo and package design created by Grinning Moon conveys the balance of natural ingredients and medicinal knowledge that is used to make the Omega Smart® product and features the flax flower that provides the omega-3s. This unique product now has packaging that reflects its distinctive benefits.

Case Study:
Crossroads Contracting first approached Grinning Moon Creative in September 2006 when they were looking for “a makeover” of their company’s look. A 17 year old business, they had grown and expanded their services such that their original branding was no longer appropriate for them. The original company logo and brand emphasized their “handyman” capabilities, but Crossroads now functions as a Full Service Remodeling Firm with 17 employees. Grinning Moon began the makeover by redesigning the company logo and establishing a new brand that fit with their target audience and their marketing goals. Once the new brand was created, Grinning Moon redesigned the Crossroads identity package, website and marketing materials. Crossroads Contracting is a growing business and continues to work with Grinning Moon Creative to fill its graphic design and marketing needs.
