DVDs are now on sale for Grinning Moon Creative’s videography of the New Hampshire Academy of Performing Arts (NHAPA) 2010 Annual Performance.  DVDs can be ordered online, at the performances or with a mail-in order form. 

Grinning Moon will be capturing the three June 11 and 12 performances with two High Definition cameras to feature close-up shots as well as wide shots of the dancers and will produce the end product on professional DVDs with custom packaging and menus.  DVDs are available featuring the entirety of each of the three performances.  Custom DVDs are also available for those who wish to select which dances are on their DVDs.  Custom DVDs allow a selection of up to 15 numbers from all three shows with custom packaging and DVD artwork for your dancer(s).

Grinning Moon Creative also filmed special documentary segments about NHAPA’s four graduating seniors. Photos, music, and interviews were compiled to provide a retrospective of each senior’s experience growing up at NHAPA. The four featurettes will be played during the Friday Night Gala performance and will be included on the Friday Night DVD as special features.

Grinning Moon Creative has completed two new, hilarious Inside Joke cartoons! One was given as a gift by a maid of honor at a bridal shower, recalling all the fun times the two women shared as children. The second was given as a birthday gift by a daughter to her father, a racing enthusiast. Both cartoons were lavishly hand-colored, printed on archival quality photo paper, and mounted in beautifully simple float frames.

Says the daughter, of her father’s gift: “My dad absolutely loved it. Mom said he’s been walking around with it since yesterday, takes it to whatever room he’s in to look at [it]. Thank you for your beautiful, creative and funny work!”

DVDs are now available for Grinning Moon Creative’s videography of the Merrimack Valley Skating Club’s (MVSC) 2010 Spring Skate Show, “Fairy Tales, Fables & Fantasy.”  Grinning Moon captured the Newburyport, MA show with two cameras to feature close-ups as well as wide shots of the skaters and produced the end product on professional DVDs available for purchase.  The show contained songs ranging from John Williams’ majestic Star Wars theme, to the ethereal melody of 80′s hit The Neverending Story theme, to several Disney classics.

Grinning Moon Creative also filmed special documentary segments about MVSC’s two graduating seniors. Photos, music, and interviews were compiled to provide a retrospective of each senior’s experience growing up at MVSC. The two featurettes were included on the DVD as special features.

This was the first time MVSC had contracted a videographer for their recitals.  About the experience working with Grinning Moon Creative, Merrimack Valley Skating Club’s director Nikki Roberts had this to say: “Thank you for such a great job with the show. I was really pleased with the entire day, I couldn’t have been more happy with everything. “

Pacific Interpreters, Inc of Portland, Oregon recently hired Grinning Moon Creative to design the book cover and interior layout of their new book “Healthcare Interpreting In Small Bites.”  Grinning Moon created a custom illustration for the cover that reflects the themes of healthcare interpreting as well as the book’s lighthearted writing style.  The book’s manuscript was also fully designed by Grinning Moon, including layout of charts, tables and worksheets.  Pacific Interpreters, Inc translates over 180 languages and dialects and composed this new book as an aid to interpreters developing the skills essential to the industry.  The book is being published by Trafford Publishing.

Grinning Moon has just completed a promotional web video for the Seabrook, New Hampshire dance school the New Hampshire Academy of Performing Arts (NHAPA). This “web-mercial” featured footage that Grinning Moon filmed of the graduates of the 2009 NHAPA senior class for the annual recital’s DVD Special Features. In these videos the graduating seniors spoke of their passion for dance, the skills and discipline they learned, and the exciting performance opportunities that NHAPA offers. To promote these wonderful benefits to the New England community, NHAPA retained Grinning Moon’s expertise to compile the interviews into a short promotional piece that includes interview footage, studio and stage footage, still photography, and kinetic type.
